Time to get up? Not yet. You hear the Jura Capresso Coffee TEAM GS 10 Cup Grind & Brew start automatically, thanks to its programmable clock. Not yet. The quality burr grinder purrs, pre-measuring the right amount of fresh beans. Not yet. The coffee maker starts automatically, pushing self-filtered water into the 900 watt heater. Not yet. Perfect temperature water cascades through the reusable, paperless GoldTone filter onto the just-now-ground beans. Not yet. The smell of home-ground coffee creeps up to your sleepy nose. Okay, now! This machine will brew 10 delicious dark cups all by itself, ready while you're still digging around the bushes in your underwear looking for the morning paper. Skip past the heavenly coffee, breakfast, and the crossword puzzle, to the easy cleanup: The washable filter presents itself with a button push. The carafe slips into the dishwasher. What's for lunch?

What does "pressure bar" mean?
Pressure is the result of the packed (tamped) coffee giving the water resistance to pass through. The pump forces the water through that resistance, and the power it needs to do so is commonly measured in bar (= kg per square centimeter). A pressure rating is used on most pump-driven espresso machines. The typical accepted pressure for brewing espresso is 9 bar, which is 8.8 atmospheres of pressure or 130 pounds per square inch. Good pumps should be able to create more pressure (power) than they need to produce perfect espresso so that they don't break when the right combination (fineness and consistency of grind, tamping, amount of ground coffee) are not prevalent. A good pump has a capacity of creating 15 or more bars. To produce a lasting crema on top of your espresso, the water should pass through the coffee at approximately 7 to 9 bars of pressure.
